Frequently asked questions about Laravel development
Why Laravel and not WordPress or a site builder?
WordPress and site builders are fine for standard websites. As soon as custom processes, user accounts, integrations or special security requirements come into play, Laravel is the more solid foundation: features built to fit instead of plugin compromises, a smaller attack surface and no annual licence costs.
How much does a Laravel web application cost?
It depends on the scope of functionality: smaller applications and portals start in the mid four-figure range, larger systems cost more. After a free initial consultation you receive a fixed-price quote with a clearly defined scope.
How long does development take?
Smaller applications are often ready for use within four to eight weeks. Larger projects are planned in stages with usable milestones – you see results early and keep costs under control.
Which technologies do you combine Laravel with?
Depending on the project: Livewire, Alpine.js or Vue.js in the frontend, Filament for admin panels, Tailwind CSS for the design and PostgreSQL or MySQL/MariaDB as the database.
Do you write automated tests?
Yes. Every project gets a test suite with Pest that safeguards the core features. Future extensions stay predictable because errors show up immediately in the tests – not at your users' end.
Who runs and maintains the application after launch?
On request, I do: updates, security patches, backups and further development – flexible and without long-term contracts. I advise you neutrally on hosting; the application belongs to you and stays that way.
Do you only work for clients in Kassel?
My focus is on Kassel and northern Hesse – that is where I am available in person. I handle Laravel projects for clients across the German-speaking area just as well; collaboration then runs via video call.
